We offer customers a variety of individual air-cooled heat sink solutions. Our thermal design engineers help you find the optimal design. We develop extrusions and bonded-fin heat sinks with different joining processes and designs to customer specifications for specific applications. We are also happy to deliver customized assemblies. SKL Pressed Fin assemblies are ideal for applications involving high thermal and mechanical clamping loads.

SKL Pressed Fin assemblies are ideal for applications involving high thermal and mechanical clamping loads. This product series is manufactured by pressing thick serrated fins into the base, where the fins are securely fixed to the base by a cold weld joint that takes place during the insertion process due to the unique design of the fin base and baseplate slot which alleviates the need for any bond agent. This series is targeted for applications with high air velocities with the capability to overcome high pressure drops due to the high fin density and serrated surface area of the fin configuration.

This product series is uniquely designed for 'hockey puck' disc semiconductors where extremely high clamping loads and thermal performance are required.

This product series is uniquely designed for 'hockey puck' disc semiconductors where extremely high clamping loads and thermal performance are required. Copper fins are soldered onto a round copper core, and the entire assembly is then nickel-plated. The design is such that it can accommodate a range of different sizes to accommodate the space and thermal requirements.

Bonded Fin heat sinks are the technology of choice when complete design flexibility with a cost-effective, high performance solution is required. Individual fins are bonded into a slotted baseplate with a thermally conductive epoxy for high mechanical and thermal performance. Fins and/or the baseplate can be of either aluminum or copper material, and the fins can be of any functional height, width and length, with combinations of various materials or heights in one solution if necessary.

When an all-copper solution is necessary, either individual fins or a folded-fin packs are soldered directly to the base for optimum thermal and mechanical joint performance.

When an all-copper solution is necessary, either individual fins or a folded-fin packs are soldered directly to the base for optimum thermal and mechanical joint performance. Complete design flexibility is available as the fins and base can be individually optimized to meet the required performance and functional requirements. The availability of folded fins for this heat sink type also expands the performance offering to the unique folded fin types that offer enhanced performance such as lanced/offset and wavy/ruffle fins.
