Miba Cooling develops and manufactures high-performance heat sinks for power semiconductors that control motors and electric drives. Whether water cooling, air cooling or heatpipes - our Solution Team accompanies you throughout the entire product development process: from simulation and mechanical testing to design, manufacturing and thermal validation. Together we develop the optimal heat sink solution for your requirements. In-house testing facilities (IGBT system testing, helium leaktest, pressure drop testing, infrared imaging, X-ray testing) can significantly reduce development time.

Miba Cooling is an internationally recognized development partner and supplier of thermal solutions. We have been developing and producing complex cooling solutions for various sectors and industries for over 50 years. Starting from the Austrian company site in Ligist and a further production site in Slovenia, we drive new technologies and technical solutions for the cooling of components worldwide.

Mechanical processing, joining technology and assembly from a single source.
For mechanical processing (milling, drilling, grinding), we at Miba Cooling rely on state-of-the-art processing machines. The result is heat sinks with high precision - especially with regard to evenness and surface finish.
The joining of individual parts represents a decisive step in the production of assemblies and prototypes. Depending on the application, the appropriate joining technology - vacuum brazing, hard soldering, soft soldering, press-fitting, adhesive bonding or friction stir welding - is used.

Efficient manufacturing of components increases their service life. That's why at Miba Cooling, in addition to conventional methods, we work with the latest joining technology, such as vacuum brazing, in the development and production of cooling solutions
Vacuum brazing enables the combination of different material pairings and allows a higher degree of freedom in the design. This technique is particularly suitable for developing a heat sink for complicated component geometries: it brings advantages due to a large-area connection. It also leads to higher strength and reduces distortion due to the low thermal stress in the joining process.
This allows components to be joined in areas that are no longer accessible after assembly. For example, in this way, complex channel geometries can be realized inside a water heat sink, ensuring outstanding thermal efficiency.
