Controlled heat dissipation with power resistors heat sinks
Miba supplies the right heat sink, including Miba Resistors power resistors, as a fully assembled unit: resistors and cooling systems from a single source, tailored to your thermal requirements.
Our thermal engineers manufacture according to your drawings or develop a custom thermal design.
Excessive heat stress shortens the service life of power resistors. Optimized thermal management keeps the case temperature low and minimizes derating.
Miba combines expertise in resistors with heat sink manufacturing under one roof. This shortens time-to-market and reduces coordination efforts in the supply chain.
The assembly is fully assembled and tested at Miba. There is no assembly required on your end. You receive a fully functional cooling module, ready for immediate installation.
The thermal interface determines the usable power of your system. In practice, this often leads to the following common problems:

Miba designs the heat sink to precisely fit the power resistor being used. Installation space, power dissipation and operating conditions are directly factored into the design.
Depending on your requirements, the Solution Team will recommend the best option:
The resistor and cooling plate are manufactured at Miba, assembled with precision and tested after assembly. You will receive a fully functional cooling module with no additional assembly required on your end.
Miba uses resistors from its own brand, Miba Resistors Austria (formerly EBG). This means that the power resistors and heat sinks are all from a single source.
The power rating of a resistor is directly linked to its case temperature. If the temperature rises unchecked, severe derating occurs. In the worst-case scenario, the component fails.
Depending on the requirements, Miba offers one of three options: air cooling, liquid cooling, or two-phase cooling. The Solution Team selects the thermally optimal solution.
Assembly takes place in-house at Miba Cooling's facilities. You will receive a fully assembled and tested assembly.
